I often hear about bullying in American and sometimes British schools. When I was in school I never heard of such a term or its equivalent in my native tongue. Of course, there were stronger and weaker boys (and girls) physically and morally. And there were some not too pleasant situations in the school from time to time. But I have never seen or heard of bullying as a social phenomenon.
