Jasmine Crockett knows her audience, and she's not stupid. Her shtick is to fill the Angry Black Woman roll that Michelle Obama previously filled. In order to do that, she needs to adopt the language and attitude of a victim who is fighting back against her oppressors. Her intent is to provoke negative reactions that can be used, ex post facto, to establish her status as a serious defender of the "progressive" wing of the Democratic Party and a potential Vice-Presidential nominee a la AOC.

To do this, she needs to focus her faux outrage against President Trump while not making herself completely repugnant to the general public. So far, she is keeping to the script.

She may be focusing her faux outrage at Trump, but I think she has also made herself totally repugnant to the general public as well as making her partisan ignorance evident for all to see.
