‘It’s up to them’: Donald Trump says Canada will get a ‘much better deal’ if it becomes the 51st American state

In case anybody is wondering, even if Canada wants to be the 51st state, the US Congress would have to approve it with 60 votes in the Senate. No offense to anybody, but why would Congress do that? Is there a gain for Canada and also for us? Why do it?
Yeah I'd rather not see it happen

Canadians want no part of the U.S. healthcare system

Damn ******* US AI.

Better now?

Perhaps you understand this: King Trump the 1st made on no reason war on Germany. King Trump 2nd attacks Europe and supports Russia. And meanwhile the whole NATO thinks Trump is not only playing to be as stupid as he says to be - they think he is really as stupid and uneducated as he plays to be and so they speak with him on the level "three years old child likes to lead the kindergarten NATO."
Why do you recite this drivel? Do you have specific examples of your assertions? If so, please state them.

I dunno about that, I hear Canadian health care ain't so hot either, with really long waiting times for some treatments.

Last year, zero Canadians filed bankruptcy due to medical bills. 320,000 Americans did. We'd be better off if we were their 11th province. 🍁

Why should the US pay for 2/3 of NATO's budget?

The budget of the defense alliance "NATO" is about 1-2 billions. I heard Germany pays the same money to the NATO budget as is doing the USA. What you call "NATO budget" is the money everyone is paying for the own military structure. The USA - a country in the size of a continent with the population of a continent - has all over the world soldiers. You waste a lot of money because you like to dominate everyone else - what has nothing to do with the defense alliance NATO.

The most expensive military operation in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany for example was in Afghanistan as a consequence of 9/11. This military operation was not carried out for Germany but for the USA as part of a NATO operation. Unfortunately, the USA itself led the operation to a resounding failure.

Again it supports Trumps lie that the US pays the NATO budget and other nations do not.

There is a small administrative budget to pay for NATO HQ and administrative expenses

But nobody is sending a check to pay for NATO a defense. Each nation pays for its own military. That is how NATO is supported

Canada will never be the 51st state. If it ever joined the US, the Provinces would likely become states and the territories remain territories. Depending on how the provinces were split up, it would be a massive tilt towards the Dems. No. I don't want Canada in the US. However it would be nice to see Canada abolish ties to the Monarchy and become a Republic, within a larger Economic Zone with the US similar to the EU. I'd gladly welcome Alberta and Saskatchewan into the Union though.

Dont be so sure of this. I read of a case recently where a woman put a second mortgage on her home to pay for surgery in Canada for her husband.

1 in 6 Canadians go into debt to pay for healthcare and dental. It's even higher when we consider prescriptions and our costs are far lower than yours. Unfortunately. we are taxed highly, especially home and car owners. Forced to buy expensive insurance etc.

Police States are very expensive. I can't even imagine how many MILLIONS (yes, that's right), destroying my life over decades and I'm not a bloody criminal (though their Agent Provocateurs try to manufacture them from the time we are kids)!
