By the time Trump made his comment, those emails had been missing for MONTHS, because Hillary had deleted, or at least attempted to delete them.
The Russians had nothing to do with them, UNLESS they had hacked Hillary months earlier, (and try to remember, her tech guy claimed her hard drive had NOT been hacked).
