It's BS Daylight Savings Time again...........

why do we need it to be daylight at 9pm? don't you have electric lights? If its daylight at 9pm its dark at 7am, so the little kids are waiting for the bus in the dark. Is that safe? do your yard work at 8pm, geez dude this isn't complicated.

There are more hours of daylight in the summer and fewer in the winter.

Keep it.
I like my sunsets approching 10 pm in summer and have no desire to see sunset at 3pm in winter.
Those of us in the north have a far more extreme difference in daylight between winter and summer.

I was raised in Michigan under standard time, it was never a problem. Why do you want sunset at 10pm? That only shortens your sleep time, how is that good for anyone?

It sucks bad here.
In Indiana we are on the westernmost edge of Eastern time Zone.
So mid summer it is still daylight at 10pm!!!!!!!!
It is ridiculous. Sucks a big one. And the main reason if you go look at curtains here - the total blackout section is literally 80% of all curtains in the aisle.

I sleep like 5 hours a day.
Why is everyone so whiny about changing a fucking clock twice a year?
Like it's some unbearable hardship.

What was the real reason for Daylight Savings Time?

The true reason why DST was created was to create a way to save energy and to get more use out of our natural daylight. After the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was established, every state or territory in the U.S. had the choice to opt-in or opt-out of DST.
I can see a use for it up in northern areas. Because when late spring/summer hits, the sun rises so early it is disruptive to sleep.

When I was younger and raising a family I liked it getting dark later because it gave me time to do things outside after work and dinner. My work start time and end was always the same so the adjustment in the clock really did give a hour more of daylight in the evening.

Now that I am retired and generally go to sleep earlier I prefer it getting dark earlier.

One of the advantages of getting dark later here in Florida with the longer summer days is doing yard. It is too hot to do it during the day. The dew is usually heavy in the morning when it is a little cooler. If it doesn't rain the evening is the best time.

Being retired I am not dependent upon a work clock so I can adjust to the seasons.

its not a hardship, its simply unnecessary and accomplishes nothing.

Why? That's psychotic!
why is it psychotic if someone feels differently about this than you do? We don't all agree on anything, so why try to poke at those who don't see things as you do? you must be a liberal sheep.

Living in Arizona, I don't observe DST. However the Navajo Nation in Arizona does change their clocks. The Navajo Boundary is my north property line, if I get on my roof I can see past that boundary.
Therefore, in the summer, I can see an hour into the future. However, if I cross that fence, I am extremely careful. I wouldn't want to get stuck half in the present and half in the future.

You can go to bed and get up whenever you want. Time is arbitrary. If you don't realize that, you're the sheep.

changing the clocks twice a year accomplishes nothing, yes, you can go to bed and get up whenever you want, that's exactly what I have said, now you agree, so why not put the time changing to a vote of the people affected by it and let the majority opinion prevail? If you like it, vote for it, if not vote against it, simple.

Rubio spearheaded a bill last year to end daylight savings .. blacks already determined it's racist, so why not end it for good in 2023?

Because I don't want to drive through morning rush hour in the dark in the winter.
