I don't mind Glüjwein. My stepfather's mother used to break out with it every Christmas Eve. She wasn't even German. My father was though, and he was even from the Nuernberg area, probably the Glühwein capital. He never really talked about it though.

There used to be a German liqueur made with caraway that I used to buy on Christmas just for me. I can't remember the name of it.
