The WJC Technology and Human Rights Institute unveiled an exhibition on Monday announcing the release of its latest publication, “Manipulated History: Past Version vs. Present Subversion—The Growing Bias Against Israel on Wikipedia,” authored by Israeli author and editor Dr. Shlomit Aharoni Lir.

The exhibition displayed side-by-side comparisons of several case studies chosen to show the persistent and troubling patterns of anti-Israel bias on the English Wikipedia between 2023-2025, as a follow up to the Technology and Human Rights Institute’s 2024 report "The Bias Against Israel on Wikipedia."

The report aims to demonstrate how information regarding Israel and conflict-related issues is manipulated to reinforce a one-sided perspective, especially after the Hamas terror attacks on October 7th, 2023. Drawing on in-depth research and side-by-side comparisons of seven key articles, the report reveals how Wikipedia entries on topics such as Zionism, Jerusalem, and the 1948 war have been systematically edited to distort historical facts, erase Jewish connections to the land, and amplify one-sided narratives. These manipulations, often driven by coordinated groups of anonymous editors, shape global perceptions through search engines and AI systems that rely on Wikipedia content, reinforcing harmful stereotypes and fueling antisemitism.

“Wikipedia plays a vital role in shaping what people know about the world. When this knowledge is manipulated, it has real-world consequences, including the rise of antisemitism and hate,” said Yfat Barak-Cheney, Executive Director of the WJC Institute for Technology and Human Rights. “The WJC TecHRI has been engaging with the Wikimedia Foundation, along with research Dr. Shlomit Aharoni Lir, for stronger safeguards to ensure that free knowledge remains accurate, balanced, and truly free.”

The Viral Spread of Holocaust Distortion: How Arabic YouTube Videos Present Nazi Propaganda as Historical Facts.

Nearly 29 million views. Six videos. One dangerous narrative.

A recent analysis by WJC's Technology and Human Rights Institute has identified a disturbing pattern of Holocaust distortion, denial, and antisemitic propaganda circulating on YouTube in Arabic. Six videos, collectively gaining approximately 28.75 million views, systematically distort and deny the Holocaust while rehabilitating Hitler's image and promoting dangerous antisemitic conspiracy theories to Arabic-speaking audiences worldwide.

A Consistent Pattern of Deception:
Our analysis reveals that these videos follow a deliberate and coordinated formula designed to maximize impact while evading platform moderation:

1. Humanizing the Perpetrator, Demonizing the Victim
A recurring strategy across several videos is the use of fabricated biographical narratives to "humanize" Adolf Hitler as a victim of Jewish malice, thereby justifying his subsequent actions.

Fabricated Personal Grievances: Four out of the six videos claim that Hitler’s hatred was fueled by a Jewish doctor who allegedly killed his mother through a medical error or overdose.
Economic Exploitation Myths: Multiple videos allege that Jewish art dealers exploited a young Hitler by purchasing his paintings at low prices only to resell them for massive profits, characterizing Jews as inherently "greedy".
Educational Rejection: Three videos claim Hitler was unfairly rejected from art school by Jewish professors, framing his failures as the result of a Jewish conspiracy.
2. Rebranding the Nazi Propaganda as "Historical Truth"
The analyzed content frequently presents debunked Nazi-era propaganda as suppressed historical fact, often employing the "Stab-in-the-Back" (Dolchstoßlegende) myth.

The "Stab-in-the-Back" Narrative: Four videos explicitly state that Jews caused Germany’s defeat in WWI by betraying the nation from within in exchange for the Balfour Declaration.
Allegations of Moral Corruption: Five videos allege that Jews deliberately introduced "moral decay"—including prostitution, drugs, and "sexual deviance"—to destroy German society, especially youth, post-WWI. One video goes as far as to claim that Berlin’s modern reputation as a "city of sin" is a direct result of these historical actions.
3. Holocaust Denial and Trivialization
While some videos focus on justifying Hitler's motives, two videos engage in explicit Holocaust denial. Video 1 concludes that the Holocaust was "nothing more than a skillfully crafted political play designed to achieve sinister goals," claiming it was fabricated to extort reparations, gain sympathy, and justify taking Palestine. Video 6 goes further, claiming only 150,000 victims died "at most," dismissing gas chambers as "Western Zionist fabrications," and asserting that deaths resulted from "harsh detention conditions and epidemic outbreaks" rather than systematic genocide.

4. Sophisticated Evasion of Content Moderation
Some of the creators of this content demonstrate an acute awareness of platform safety guidelines and employ specific tactics to bypass automated moderation.

Coded Language: Creators use Quranic references like "those who incurred Allah's wrath" to refer to Jews, explicitly stating this is done to avoid "YouTube content removal".
Technical Circumvention: One video employs strategic audio cuts when using antisemitic slurs while simultaneously displaying the text and visual Jewish symbols on screen to ensure the message reaches the audience without triggering audio-based AI flags.
The Real-World Impact
The consequences of this content extend far beyond YouTube's platform. Holocaust denial and distortion serve as gateways to broader antisemitic ideology and can contribute to real-world violence against Jewish communities. When millions of viewers—particularly in regions where Holocaust education may be limited—are exposed to these narratives presented as historical fact, it fundamentally undermines efforts to combat antisemitism and preserve Holocaust memory.

Define proPal and then define fascist. Francesca Albanese's incitement.

Written by Franco Londei. November 30, 2025

Francesca Albanese comments on the ProPal attack in La Stampa.

The proPal assault on the editorial office of La Stampa cannot and must not be underestimated, even less so if the phantom UN special envoy, Francesca Albanese, starts inciting and justifying the attack on journalists who are "not aligned" with Hamas's press releases.

Which, put like that, is strange. The daily newspaper La Stampa , along with Repubblica and all the left-wing newspapers, have never skimped on the distribution of Hamas press releases, so the pro-Pal attack on the editorial staff of the Turin daily is even unjustifiable.

The only justification is therefore found in the very definition of “proPal,” which rarely indicates “support for the Palestinian cause” or “support for Palestinian self-determination,” much less “support for the two-state solution.”

More frequently it indicates "justification of Islamic terrorism" or "being against Israel and the Israeli people", therefore it indicates "anti-Semitism".

But the most fitting definition of proPal is undoubtedly the one that emerged first from the attack on the editorial offices of La Stampa and then from the incitement of Francesca Albanese: the proPal ideology is " intolerant, authoritarian, repressive, and a supporter of practices or attitudes that limit the freedom of others ," which is what Hamas does in Gaza or Fatah in the West Bank.

Well, if you look for the definition of “fascism” among the many that are proposed, there is also that fascist ideology is “ intolerant, authoritarian, repressive, supporting practices or attitudes that limit the freedom of others ”.

There's no longer a distinction between left and right; a fascist is a fascist. Anyone who supports terrorism, practices that limit freedom, the authoritarianism of those who shoot in the head those who disagree with the [Hamas] regime is a fascist. And it's no coincidence that a pro-Pal supports the same things and ideologies as a fascist. Hamas is fascist. Fatah is fascist. They haven't held elections since time immemorial and control the population with weapons, violence, and blackmail. And if you support these people, you're a fascist.

There's a lot to write about Francesca Albanese, not because of her "missions" to Gaza, where she's never been, or the genocide[sic] without bodies and numbers she blathers on about, but rather because this figure wanders the world cloaked in a title given to her by the United Nations that, unfortunately, gives a good idea of how low the most expensive and most useless global body in human history has fallen.

A United Nations representative who, after the fascist attack on the editorial offices of La Stampa , a newspaper friendly to the proPal movement, claims that "this should be a warning to the press..." A warning? And where does this charlatan think she is? In Gaza? In the Palestinian West Bank, where the little press that exists is subservient to their respective regimes? Where, if you write "**** Hamas," you find a noose around your neck, like a very well-known proPal movement (one of the real ones)? Does she perhaps think she's in Qatar, at Al Jazeera, where the only line is that dictated by the regime, the offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood, an expression of Islamic fascism?

How can the United Nations provide legal cover for this person? How can the United Nations provide legal cover for someone who issues warnings against the free press in a free country?

And now define “proPal” again.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul calls for the resignation of the UN special rapporteur for the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, over comments she made allegedly targeting Israel at a conference.

“I respect the UN system of independent rapporteurs. However, Ms Albanese has made numerous inappropriate remarks in the past. I condemn her recent statements about Israel. She is untenable in her position,” Wadephul writes on X.

Wadephul’s French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot made the same call yesterday for Albanese to resign, over the same comments.

Speaking via videoconference at a forum Saturday in Doha, Qatar, organized by the Al Jazeera network, Albanese referred to a “common enemy” that enabled the “genocide” in Gaza.

Albanese has a history of antisemitism and extremist rhetoric toward Israel, according to her critics. The US State Department sanctioned Albanese in July, accusing her of “political and economic warfare” against the US and Israel and “unabashed antisemitism.”

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot tells lawmaker the French government demands UN Rapporteur's resignation after her latest hateful rant against Israel.
Israel National News. Feb 11, 2026, 10:35 PM (GMT+2)

The French government is calling for the resignation of United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese following her statement that Israel is the "common enemy" of humankind, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot told lawmakers today (Wednesday).

“France unreservedly condemns the outrageous and reprehensible remarks made by Ms. Francesca Albanese, which are directed not at the Israeli government, whose policies may be criticized, but at Israel as a people and as a nation, which is absolutely unacceptable," Barrot said.

He stated that Albanese's remarks “target not the Israeli government, whose policies can be criticized, but Israel as a people and as a nation, which is absolutely unacceptable," and that they "add to a long list of scandalous positions, justifying October 7, the worst antisemitic massacre in our history since the Holocaust, mentioning the Jewish lobby or comparing Israel to the Third Reich."

Barrot's comments come after over 20 French MPs demanded that Albanese be removed from her position in response to the Rapporteur's remarks at an Al Jazeera conference on Saturday, which was also attended by Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal.

In her video remarks, Albanese stated: “The fact that instead of stopping Israel, most of the world has armed, given Israel political excuses, political sheltering, economic and financial support ... We who do not control large amounts of financial capitals, algorithms and weapons, we now see that we as a humanity have a common enemy."
