What you should be saying is it's a shame that the HAMAS terrorists don't care about innocent Palestinians getting killed. Otherwise they won't fire missiles from civilian populations, take the fight to civilian populations, wear uniforms, short weapons in schools and hospitals making them legit targets and backing Israel into a corner where she has no other option, but to launch a major operation!

There are ways to fight terrorists with fewer civilian casualties as has been evidenced by the US and allied forces in Iraq and in Afghanistan.

The old -- "it's the terrorists's fault for forcing us to kill so many civilians" begins to pale in the the face of emerging evidence that Israel did far less than it could have to prevent civilian deaths and, in fact,, may have acted in ways to encourage those deaths.

What it comes down to is that to some Israeli's - Palestinians are little more than vermin, not human beings and unfortunately that Israeli minority has a disproportionate political weight.
