Palestine cuts off their nose to spite Isreal.

Israel slaps Palestine with economic sanctions amid collapsing peace talks

Israel has imposed additional economic sanctions against Palestine in response to its unilateral decision to join 15 international conventions last week which Tel Aviv claims to be in breach of conditions of the ongoing peace talks.

“It has been decided to freeze the transfer to the Palestinian Authority of the taxes collected by Israel on its behalf,” an Israeli official told AFP. Reuters too confirmed the reports adding that Tel Aviv will deduct “debt payments” from tax transfers which the Palestinians receive. Israel will also place a limit on Palestinian bank deposits in Israel.

Israel monthly collects some $110 million in taxes on goods bound for the Palestinian territory which roughly amounts to around two-thirds of the income received by the Palestinian Authority. Palestinian debts to Israel for services total at least a month's worth of revenue, local Israeli media reports.

In addition, the official noted that Israel is halting its participation in a project to develop a gas field in the sea next to the Gaza strip.

Palestine was quick to denounce the new sanctions.

It's about time Israel started doing something right in dealing with Palestinians. No more of those Zionists provoking the Palestinians with peace offerings, a security fence & land concessions so the squatters can remain in Israel.

Recognition by various groups is not going to bring the PA unity not a better agreement with Israel.
Approved or not Israel will annex 60% of the WB and with hold the taxes it collects each month hurting the PA's already empty pockets.
Unless the european nations are going to go to war with Israel over alleged crimes both sides are blamed for; unless the PA is ready to be held to the overly high standards they expect Israel to be held to; not much will change. PA will have to eventually come back to the table. They can declare a state and capital on land they don't control but it won't actually give them the land.
Sooner or later they will have to come to some compromise, to lessen their "demands" to something more reasonable to both Israel's and Jordan's security.
Simply declaring a state that is not viable to support it's population will just collapse and like the Crimea and possibly soon the Ukraine will fall into another's hands.
Between poverty and a one state solution, if put to a vote it would not be a landslide but a one state solution would be better.

I too support a one state solution. Problem is Israel has made no attempt whatsover to find a way to free the Palestinians back to their indigenous homelands. Instead the Zionists make peace offerings to Palestinians, build a security fence fence & grant the Palestinians their own Jew free Gaza so they can remain in Israel.

The Pals can't be sanctioned into submission. Just an observation...

Neither can the Israelis, so what is your point ?

The Israelis have never been sanctioned, so how do you know? That's what they said about South Africa, eventually the sanctions and isolation brought them to the negotiating table.

And that in itself tells the story that Israel has not done anything that required sanctions, not even the ISLAMONAZI UNSC has found any grounds to impose sanctions.

It had nothing to do with the threats of mass murder by mandellas ANC against both whites and blacks.

Israel has been under sanctions for more than 65 yrs by a third of the world. Were you really unaware of this fact? Even companies that are not Israeli or operated by a "jew" feels the financial sting if suspected of having any ties to Israel or jews.

The only sanctions that have any effect are those imposed by the West. The U.S., in fact, imposes sanctions on countries that impose sanctions on Israel, I am sure you knew that. Being sanctioned by Egypt doesn't mean very much.

Being sanctioned or boycotted by any Ayrab country usually is a boon to Israel. Up 10% today. :D

Yawn...again with the false South Africa comparison. You guys have been pulling this South Africa shit for the last 20 years, including the Durban conference crap, etc. and so far nobody is falling for it. Seriously, it's time you came up with some new style of propaganda. All your stuff is old and stinky.

Looks like BDS is kicking Israel's butt. Or is it? aris2chat

Starbucks is in advanced talks to buy 10 percent of the Israeli home soda machine company SodaStream.
Shares of SodaStream jumped more than 10 percent following the report Wednesday in the Israeli business daily Globes, which said an announcement of the purchase is expected “soon.” The company value is $1.1 billion.
Neither company would comment in the media on the report.
