Is West Virginia Gonna Secede If Kamala Harris Wins?

Well,
Currently Democrat voters have yet to show up in Virginia in early voting. Been actively voting now for three weeks. Been outnumbered so far 3:1.

Polls are one thing....but people actually getting out to actually vote is another. And democrats are simply not going to the polls in Virginia.

I’d be in favor of a wall, but western MD might want to join WV!

Then West Virginia could know what it's like to be Palestine. The Democrat Feds would never stop oppressing the people there and false flagging them. Eventually the West Virginian equivalent of Hamas would be generated there and we'd have the same horrors and atrocities happening over here as they do over there.

Dems have a 3-1 advantage in mail-ins in PA. I doubt VA is much different.

It’s been our editorial policy for some time not to overemphasize legislation at the state level that has merely been introduced. Dozens if not hundreds of whacky and extreme things are proposed each year in state legislatures but have no real chance of ever passing. Sometimes they amount to little more than gussied up press releases. But every once in a while something comes along that is so representative of the political moment that it’s newsworthy in its own right, even if it never goes anywhere.

Take, for instance, the resolution that four GOP lawmakers introduced Sunday in the special session in West Virginia. It’s as extreme as anything I’ve seen in the last few years. The proposed resolution, inter alia, calls on West Virginia not to “recognize” the results of the 2024 presidential election if “election fraud in any state was a major reason that resulted in a candidate for President obtaining a majority in the Electoral College.”

“Election fraud” is defined in the text very broadly to include a laundry list of bogus right-wing claims ranging from non-citizen voting to “prosecutions for apparent political motives.” By this definition, Special Counsel Jack Smith’s ongoing prosecution of Donald Trump could be sufficient grounds on its own for West Virginia to refuse to recognize a victorious Kamala Harris as the legitimate president.

The obsession with virtually non-existent voter fraud on the part of the POT has reached the level of lunacy. They have so effectively beaten this dead horse a majority of Americans are now concerned with voter fraud (mostly Repubs) in the upcoming election based on no evidence to justify their concern.

Here's something that can help remedy the situation. Don't re-elect the nutters spreading the lies.
Yeah, it's very possible the red states will get in line and refuse to certify.

And that could be the moment our democracy unravels.

So what are you saying, flatten WV?

Well....they keep saying that but....they were supposed to show up last week....then yesterday....but nothing has materialized yet.

Will Oregon secede if Trump wins?

They forfeited their opportunity in 1863 when they chose the nascent leviathan over their kith and kin.

How does not recognizing the victor of an election equate to Secession? :stir:

More importantly, would anyone care?

Yeah, something tells me WV is not in any condition to secede.
