From what I understand his family is apparently running his trust or what hsve you. Unless he is taking money directly from the taxpayer or engaging in quid pro quo, it is expected that his family will run it to prodice profits.

But, Trump isn't doing anything illegal. He can still publicly invest his money in any legal purchase or trade of the money market.
