LOL.....Reminds me years ago when I would drive my four-wheeler w/ plow up to my parents' house (about .25 miles away) to plow their driveway after I got my driveway done.

A town cop stopped me on the way and started going on about not being able to drive it on town roads.

I told him he might want to check with his boss.....Who was my dad.

No worries after that.

What a a-hole. Do people who ask for a LE supervisor think those supervisors don't have anything better to do then show up to minor traffic violations? The cop seemed cool and had the guy just provided his license he would probably been given a simple warning.
I honestly don't get arguing with cops. I've been pulled over multiple times and my 1st words to the Po-po are "I'm sorry______" sometimes I get a warning and sometimes a ticket.

That works. Once I was driving with a friend who was on the job working for the mafia. A guy came out of a side street and hit the company car we were in.
A cop arrived and my buddy told the cop who he worked for (guy's name) and how the other guy had hit into us.
The cop thanked us and told us we could go on our way no harm no foul while he attended to the errant driver in the other car.

Those are the ones you have to be the most tactful with

I once got pulled over for running a yellow light it was nighttime just barely. I had my handgun on the passenger seat in plain view, but it was dark so when the cop started talking to me, I told him it was there since he couldn't see it. He had me get out and he patted me down verified the weapon was there and then ask me why I told him I had it. I explained his job was stressful enough without stumbling on a loaded weapon where he didn't expect it, so it was a curtesy thing. He thanked me and let me go with a warning about the light.
