It is all very explainable
Simply put, we have been lied to.
Here is what academia and the media have lied to us about, that is, the political spectrum

So, the question must be asked, what exactly is this spectrum measuring? Why are Nazis on the right and the Communists on the Left? What are the criteria to justify the spectrum? There are none, especially considering that the term Nazi means National Socialist.
Here is the deal. Human beings make sense of the world through their beliefs. We think we can prove more than we actually can. In fact, precious little can be proven outside a math class. Essentially human beings function on a belief system to try and make sense of their world.
Secondly, as human beings we all understand the world is very much screwed up. That means we have to assign a cause. Who or what is to blame? For the Christian, for example, it was the fall of man and satan egging him on to do it. But in reality, we all assign ourselves a satan to blame. For the Left, they have simply assigned their satan as "fascists" or "Nazis" are to blame. At one time, it was "Capitalism", but they decided to replace it with Nazism because they are universally hated, and with good reason. In fact, Nazism is so universally hated, that they had to eject them from the side of the Left on the political spectrum, even though they self-identified as socialists and had many socialist like polices. Notice the two terms fascism and Nazi are interchangeable and mean virtually the same thing to a Leftist.
As a result, from here till the end of time, every political opponent of the Left will hereby be declared fascist or a Nazi, while ignoring their own fascist tendencies, such as censoring speech, mandating vaccines, and using endless lawfare against their political rivals. Why? Cuz they all deserve it and always will deserve it, because they are Nazis.
And of course, once humans assign themselves a devil, they must choose a savior because we all inherently know that the stink around us is far to enormous and problematic for us to tackle all by our lonesome, thus we need a savior. But instead of Jesus, the Left turns to Marxist type of ideologies, which are kissing cousins of Nazism because both work by focusing centralized power to controlling every aspect of human activity, whether it be what pronoun you are using to whether or not you take a simple vaccine. You will comply or be crushed into fine powder. But they don't publicly admit to that, at least not yet. No, they simply hide behind the banner of the DNC. So, anything that contradicts the DNC ideology, whether it be the Bible or even science, it must be either destroyed or subverted. That means that anyone who may wish to be a democrat must first have Jesus bow his knee to the abortion industry and smile upon it, other wise Jesus is a Nazi and a fascist who hates women.

Again, the whole political spectrum is laughable. If it is accurate, the best-case scenario is that we are a moderate Nazi or Communist.
