Yeah this court that is confirming people's rights is soooo much worse than the one that said Dred Scott was a dumb negro with no rights, or the one that said the government could send an entire nationality of citizens to internment camps, or the one that said states could force segregation on individuals and businesses, etc.

This court did 3 things that piss off conservatives to no end: let poor people keep their healthcare, bar states from attacking voting rights, and allow gay people equal protection under the law.

I agree, but this the result of Roberts' guerilla warfare against the Liberals on the bench. He knows that Presidential appointment is is the only way to reform the Court, and has written opinions with that in mind: First, he preserved Obamacare as an issue for the 2012 and 2014 elections, and now he has saved the GOP from blame for the chaos that would have occurred if it had been thrown out. The 2016 election will determine if this strategy will have been worth it.
