Is not being able to focus on any one thing for more than 5 minutes the goal?

I started a thread a few weeks ago, which seems like a year ago, about a metaphorical reference to trump "flooding the zone." Flooding it with a fire hose of outrageous acts, incompetence, illegal directives, and his disturbing affection for a murderous dictator.

I can't help wondering if he realized during trump 1.0 that keeping the news cycle moving keeps the public from thoroughly considering what is going on before it's replaced with something else. For example, and this is by no means the worse thing trump has done.........though it may be the most stupid......a reflection of how he governs through ignorance.......there's this.

Army Corps knew Trump's water release order in California's San Joaquin Valley was a waste

The Washington Post reported Friday that the Army Corps of Engineers knew President Trump's order in late Janurary to release San Joaquin Valley reservoir water wouldn’t reach Southern California as he promised.

The President had said the water release would help prevent more Southern California wildfires, but local water experts say that was "virtually impossible."

Around 2.2 billion gallons of reservoir water from Terminus Dam at Lake Kaweah and Schafer Dam at Lake Success in Tulare County were sent into the San Joaquin Valley. That water is stored mainly to irrigate crops during the spring and summer growing seasons.

The decision to dump the reservoir water drew concern from agricultural interests across the San Joaquin Valley.

“A decision to take summer water from local farmers and dump it out of these reservoirs shows a complete lack of understanding of how the system works and sets a very dangerous precedent,” said Dan Vink, a longtime Tulare County water manager, in February.

The takeaway for me is not just the unwillingness of staff to tell Don his idea was a really stupid one. The takeaway is he no doubt still thinks it was the right thing to do. Cuz no insider dares to tell him he fucked up. That's extraordinarily dangerous.

I wonder how many months, or years, would pass before trump fans stopped berating a Dem for doing something so wasteful and boneheaded. Yet it's already been consigned to the collective memory hole of the faithful. And worse, trump's.

I'm reminded of a profound saying.

Intelligence can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Then there are the rest.

Liberals have the attention span of gnats, no wonder they are so confused and can only respond like petulant children. It will be at least a year by the time they have fully processed Trump's first 100 days.

I am pretty sure Trump wants to troll the left. The rest are just details and damned be the costs.

Your belief that's a profound saying tells me a lot about you. But putting your deflection aside, intelligent observers of current events see trump's strategy for what it is. Whereas trumples are too busy applauding his every move like trained seals.

Too fucking funny.

While you struggle to keep up, I'll be where I'm always at.

50 steps ahead of you.

Is "trolling the Left" the kind of "kitchen table" issue many independents voted for? Or were they concerned about inflation while trump does nothing to lower prices?

Does this make you proud of Dear Leader and your vote for him?

"An unscheduled release of water at this time of year, when there is little demand for irrigation water and a snowpack that is below average, poses grave threats to a reliable water supply this year," Costa wrote. "This could increase the cost of water for farmers for this crop year exponentially due to dry conditions anticipated."

Just remember, his idea of a sharp mind is Biden.
My idea of a sharp mind isn't..........

Why were his aides afraid to block the fuckup? Is his ego so fragile he can't be told when he's wrong?

"I only wish they listened to me six years ago – There would have been no fire!"

That's pure fantasy.

Just remember, his idea of a sharp mind is Biden.
The Washington Post reported that in a memo sent four days after the late January release of reservoir water, the Commander of the Army Corps’ Sacramento district wrote officials knew before the dump water from Lake Kaweah and Success Lake “could not be delivered to Southern California directly. "

Nonetheless, the release was done to satisfy Trump’s executive order.

Democrats are happier at Joe Biden speed, maybe they should all enter the old folks home.

I don't speak for independents who voted for Trump. My guess, however, is that most of them voted against Harris more so than anything for Trump, save perhaps cracking down on illegal immigration.

Because she was associated with the Biden admin which was unfairly blamed for inflation.
And there was trump saying he'd fix it on day one. Turns out, not so much.

I don't personally think that the Biden Administration was unfairly blamed for inflation, but I am pretty certain that everyone pretty much knows, and and knew then, Trump is not exactly well known for having a history of honesty or fair dealing.

The Biden Administration was an unmitigated disaster. The democrats should just stop pretending it wasn't. The voters weren't duped by Trump and Trump will never be running again. The DNC can learn from the sinking of their Titanic or not. The choice is really theirs. If Trump truly gets the illegal immigration problems sorted once he gets his own budget to pay to do it, the DNC is going to have to find more tasty meat and potato issues than the right of transgendered people not to have to pay back their student loans and "Trump is a Nazi!!!" to run on.

Personally, I would begin with criminal justice reform---real reforms, not that failed no bail thing--if I were them. Our federal prison system is absolute third world and shouldn't be managed by the Department of Justice that put the people there to begin with. Perhaps I would start with bringing the JPATS system onto the front page. It is used for prisoners and illegals alike.

Could, maybe, might, are words describing another BlueAnon conspiracy theory than a rational argument. Try harder.
