It really is a Dichotomy...On one hand a safe-haven for any persecuted people is the Humane thing that I personally support the most...But to take someone else's land to satisfy a human wrong cannot be right!

Is Israel good for the Jews New York Post

Is Israel good for the Jews?
For vast majority of Americans — and certainly for most Jews — the answer is a no-brainer. But on the intellectual left, a place where nationalism and religion are viewed with suspicion, it’s not as simple.
So when Richard Cohen, long-time columnist at The Washington Post, led a 2006 op-ed with the line, “The greatest mistake Israel could make at the moment is to forget that Israel itself is a mistake,” he was stunned by the reaction.
It wasn’t just the “disquieting” applause he received from the occasional anti-Semite or conspiracy theorists. What troubled him most were the congratulations he heard from his friends, colleagues and acquaintances. What was it about Israel?
Cohen was so intrigued that he decided to write an entire book posing his provocative question. The problem is he never answers it. Not even close.

Is air good for our lungs? Food for our bodies? The Word of God of our mind, body and spirit?

Of course Israel is good for the Jews! It is a tremendous blessing God has given the Jews! It is their land! Their inheritance! From God! You have to fight to possess what God has given you. There is always a challenge to whatever God gives us! The greater the gift? The greater the challenge that comes up against us to see how bad we want it! Nevertheless! It is worth it all! Long live Israel!

What a silly question!

Hahaha that's a good morning laugh :D
The "INTELLECTUAL LEFT" A Place where NATIONALISM AND RELIGION is viewed with suspicion, that's hilarious.
How about a sign "JOIN US WE ARE LONELY..PLEASE!" - or how about this one! - "If you're an atheist and you love bashing some religion, consider your membership today! join the intellectual left!"
I Grew up on politics and I've never seen such a ridiculous statement in my life :lmao:

I would say that the state of Israel is both good and not so good for the Jewish people. On the good side, it provides Jewish people the same sort of self-determination as any other ethnicity. On the negative side, it has allowed the age-old scourge of antisemitism to mutate into a genocidal hatred of a political entity, thus masking the enmity for Jews. What, with the Arabs controlling so much of the dialogue at the U.N. in conjunction with Russian antisemitism, we now have Israel as the target of hatred on the level of systematic political persecution.

Not much has changed since the 1930s other than the replacement of the word "Israel" for Jews in the dialogue of the hateful.

Beneath any headstone lies a Democrat voter

Dear Housefly ~ Beneath any headstone lies a Democrat voter, you say? Do tell, Housefly . . . your favorite people, as well as me, have consistently voted Democrat on any ballot in any election that was ever put before them! ~ Susan
