But the drought is far from over! Estimates are that it would take 75' of rain to bring reservoir levels back to normal.

Wow. Has to be CO2. No other planet in the solar system has such odd and varied weather features
CO2, gotstabe!

IN a word..... NO

El Niño needs Westerlies in the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE.. This is residual heat transfer due to normal ocean cooling circulations. The Up side is Cali and the west might get some good snow and rain for a few weeks out of the Pineapple Express that is forming.

It cant be the gigantic polar low sitting over the ocean..... causing changes in the circulations... Could it? :banghead::bang3:

This has been the warmest fall in Utah in a very long time.

We need more rain than we got in November, although we did exceptionally well during the summer and early fall.

SO much for any chance of El Nino... the heat is gone and water temps have dropped up the west coast. The Low that had been driving the water has moved and now the cold will drop into the upper US. Our little pause in winter is over as massive cold is about to pummel the US in the west coast and the mid west...
