When I bought groceries recently, hamburger was up 20 cents a pound, a head of lettuce $2.29 up from $1.99. The cheapest wheat bread Albertson offers is $1.99/loaf up from $1.89 the last time I bought bread. Eggs were higher. Milk up a nickle.

The government can put out any propaganda it wants to put out there, but as long as those of us are having to deal with ever increasing prices for basic necessities, the people will not be convinced that anybody's quality of life is improving.
