It is logical that if government is paying for your health care then they should be able to control every aspect of your health since they are paying for it.

I say go for it. Even here in the US.

No one’s forbidding anyone from buying sugar-y crap. But why should *my* tax dollars pay for people requiring decades of expensive medical care for diabetes and obesity related chronic conditions that a were 100% preventable if they’d just followed a sensible diet?
