Honest people admit that the extreme and one-sided hatred against the Jewish state is often - I’d argue almost always - driven by antisemitism, and is a way Jew-haters think they can get away with smearing Jews. They always say, “I’m not against all Jews.,…just the ones who support Israel.” The following are examples of how condemnation against Israel reveals - or worse, advances! - antisemitism:

1. Punishing ALL Jews for Israel’s actions. For example, marching around schools chanting “Death to Jews!,” setting up No Jew Zones, or not allowing a Jewish student to serve on the student body unless she denounces Israel.

2. Using coded language as a substitute or dog whistle for Jews. Saying “Zionist” instead of Jew, when they are almost the identical thing given that almost 90% of Jews support Israel’s right to exist.

3. Using steroetypes or Hitler as part of the criticism. Saying that “Zionists” own Congress or that Israelis are like Nazis.

4. Denying the Jewish people the same rights that other ethnic groups have or aspire to. Calling for the abolishment of Israel or telling Jews they should leave the country and return to Europe, where 2/3rds of Jews were murdered.

5. Describing the Israeli people as uniquely evil by spreading lies and conspiracy theories. Saying that Israelis enjoy killing children or that they are deliberately killing innocent civilians.

6. I will add one more of my own: Double standards where it applies to Israel. Engaging in nationwide protests to “free the Palestinians” and having virtually none to free the Iranians, being killed by the tens of thousands by Islamic savages.

It is not antisemitism to express opposition to or criticize the government of Israel for their actions in Gaza, the West Bank, and now with Iran. Our little brother (that we enable with weapons and cash) wants to be the biggest bully on the block in the Middle East. But wouldn't be able to do so without our support. And we just keep enabling them. Now, we've started and are continuing a war for them.

Most people in this world support Israel's right to exist. But it doesn't seem that the government of Israel thinks that way about the Palestinians or the Arabs. And like it or not, that land...was shared LONG before the British showed up and started bleeping around with everything.

Definitely a double standard. Antisemites clutch their pearls about Jews moving into Samaria and Judea (aka the West Bank), but say nothing about Muslims moving into Minnesota- a traditionally Christian land.

Unfortunately for them, President Trump isn't on the side of modern national socialists.

We still have free speech in this country. I don't like half the stuff you say about immigrants, given my wife is an immigrant. You still have the right to say it.

No, Zionist is a specific political philosophy. I also doubt that 90% of Jews support what Bibi is currently doing. Quite a few of them are embarrassed by it.

Many American Jews sharply disapprove of Israel’s conduct of the war in Gaza, with 61 percent saying Israel has committed war crimes and about 4 in 10 saying the country is guilty of genocide against the Palestinians, according to a Washington Post poll.

3. Using steroetypes or Hitler as part of the criticism. Saying that “Zionists” own Congress or that Israelis are like Nazis.

Um, AIPAC just dumped a shitload of money into primaries here in Chicago to keep members of "the Squad" out of Congress.

This hits home for me, because I'm in the 8th District, where AIPAC used shell groups to dump a bunch of money returning noted Tool Melissa Bean to Congress. (Not that her pro-Bernie opponent was any better, I just don't like outside groups influencing who represents me.)

Now, moving on. If the comparisons to Hitler make you uncomfortable, good. It shows you might have something vaguely resembling a conscience left.

The problem is, you are only upset when the "Hitler"-like behavior is applied to you. You couldn't give a shit if it is applied to Palestinians in Gaza or undocumented immigrants in this country.

4. Denying the Jewish people the same rights that other ethnic groups have or aspire to. Calling for the abolishment of Israel or telling Jews they should leave the country and return to Europe, where 2/3rds of Jews were murdered.

Other Ethnic Groups didn't invade other people's countries to take their land. That kind of Colonialism is roundly condemned today, even in countries like the US and Australia that were built on it.

5. Describing the Israeli people as uniquely evil by spreading lies and conspiracy theories. Saying that Israelis enjoy killing children or that they are deliberately killing innocent civilians.

They've been bombing the snot out of Gaza for three years now. Killing civilians seems to be the point.

6. I will add one more of my own: Double standards where it applies to Israel. Engaging in nationwide protests to “free the Palestinians” and having virtually none to free the Iranians, being killed by the tens of thousands by Islamic savages.

Iran isn't being propped up by US Tax Dollars.
They aren't using American Weapons to oppress their people.

I would be happy to apply the same tactics to Israel that we apply to Iran. Decades of sanctions forced them to give up their nuclear program.

But at the end of the Day, Iranians fighting Iranians is not really our concern.

Israelis murdering Palestinians on our tax dime and antagonizing the entire Muslim World against us is.

Jew haters use hate against Israel as a cloak for their bigotry. Any fool can see through that

The antisemites like to deny it because they think it gives them the go-ahead to promote antisemitism.

The responses from the Jew-haters will prove the premise of the thread.

Only 2% of Minnesota's population is Muslim.

And I'm curious about this "Traditionally Christian Land" in Minnesota.

You mean the land that Christians stole from the Chippewa and Sioux?

The fact is, Jews are barely the majority in Palestine even today, after 80 years of immigration and ethnic cleansing

There are 1 million Arabs in Israel proper, 2.3 million in the West Bank, and 2 million in Gaza. There are also 6 million Palestinians living in Exile around the world.

Hey, funny thing.

The governor of my state is a Jew.

I voted for him in the last two elections and will probably vote for him again in November (although I'm not thrilled with how he did my Congressman Dirty in the primary)

Defending your nation against terrorism isn't "murder".

And BTW, most of the Muslim world including UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, are fully behind the war against the Mullahs.

US interest is in pacifying the region and eliminating the threat of nuclear weapons in the hands of crazed ayatollah whose motto is "Death to America"- and was even when B. Hussein O was shipping them pallets of cash money from US taxpayers to wage their global terror campaign.

You may hate the Jews, have a vendetta against your tax accountant and think that they use Christian blood in the recipe for matzos. But that is no reason for America to wage war against them- and won't be during a Trump administration.

If you are having to go to the other side of the planet to pick a fight, you aren't defending anything. You are picking a fight.

Happy to have cleared that up for you.

If they were democracies instead of corrupt Monarchies, you might have a point.

Except Obama had an agreement in place to keep them from getting nukes. Trump tore it up.

the money we gave to Iran was rightfully Iran's money. The courts had ruled it should be returned decades ago.

I don't want to wage war against them.

I just want to cut off the money supply and take all the money we are pissing away in the "Forever War" and invest it in alternative energy.

Not sure what he said, but I’m sure he demonstrated what antisemitism is - and sided with the Islamists.

Lisa pretends she doesn't read my posts when she can't answer what I say.

Sometime when she thinks she can fake moral outrage, she does, but it's pretty much like walking into a rake for her.

That’s because you don’t have to hide being a Jew for fear of being assaulted, and need bomb-sniffing dogs at Jewish events.

But your non-contribution is noted.
