Either way, a country needs to protect itself. The UK locks people up who break the law.

The US had BLM riots, 10,000 people were arrested. Difficult to know if any were arrested for incitement on social media, but if not, it kind of shows the US's problem. The riots in the US went out of control. In the UK they went out of control for a short while and then stopped pretty quickly.

The riots took place over 6 days. One day after the stabbings in Southport they started and by the 5th August they saw their last. There were worries that they'd happen on the 10th August, a Saturday when the new football season was starting, but they didn't.

In the US the BLM riots lasted a year.

Inciting rioting is not protected free speech.

The problem the US has is that China and Russia, with a total lack of free speech, are manipulating their enemies, the EU, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan and they're using freedom of speech to cause destabilization.

How can the US survive? Free speech has to be protected FROM BOTH SIDES. From the side of making sure people can say what they want, but also from the side that people don't say things that will destroy freedom of speech because it's being abused

I hear what you’re saying. But in the USA in the past five or 10 years, we have lost some of that freedom of speech and personal rights

For example think of social media and political platforms like YouTube and Facebook banning people with conservative views. They didn’t ban them even seven years ago for saying the same things… and then all of a sudden they get influenced by left-wing politicians to do so.

Not to mention DEI racism infiltrating the federal government. Wokeism and cancel culture constitutes a massive change in America and clearcut attack against free speech. People have lost their livelihood because of speaking their mind on certain issues where they would’ve never lost their job for doing the same thing just seven years ago.

that’s an ongoing issue. Hopefully, it gets resolved.
