We have a 20% of the deaths, because Americans are not used to being told to alter their routines and their habits, and not enough of them have been willing to follow the recommended guidelines.
It wouldn't have mattered who the president was, Americans would not have been willing to lockdown the way other nations, especially socialist and communist ones who are used to having the government tell them what to do.
If Biden had been president, he would have have faced the same backlash that every Dimocrat governor has faced when they attempt to lock things down.

And, yes, that's Trump's fault, because he mocked masking, held super-spreader events, and attacked Democratic governors who were at least TRYING to do something.

Many other western countries were also slow to adopt face mask requirements.

It's not Trump, it's American's refusal to stay the fuck home and alter their habits that has driven this pandemic here.
Also, if you'll remember the CDC was slow in recommending the use of face masks. First they said not to, then they said it was ok, then they said you should wear them.

Face it, I know you Dims want to blame it all on Trump, but whoever would have been in the WH, they would have faced the same public reluctance to change their habits.

• LIED to the German public about the severity of a deadly global pandemic as it was bearing down on them
• ATTACKED their best health and science officials when they were just trying to do their damn jobs
• MOCKED Germans who were just trying to protect themselves and their loved ones with masks and social distancing
• THANKED Germans who gathered in indoor spaces without masks, creating super-spreader events
• MAINTAINED an environment of not taking the virus seriously, which obviously spread to his sheep, no doubt spreading the virus further
• IGNORED health safety protocols at the fucking German State House, turning it into a fucking COVID HOT SPOT that will need to be FUMIGATED
• LIED AGAIN to the German public by constantly saying "we're turning the corner on the virus", even when he knew goddamn well we were not....

Then yes, maybe they could call it the "Merkel Virus".
