Smoking sucks. Never have and never will . I find it hard to understand how people can violate their bodies with a substance that wreaks havoc with each and every system of you body, Full disclosure, I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s when, it seems everyone smoked a, although I know that is not true. But as a child, it seemed as though everyone in my life smoked. To this day, I resent the fact that I was subjected to this poison on a regular basis .

Yes . I know, you’re supposed to forgive, forget and put the pasts behind you but I cannot, will not ,and in fact do not want to . I was sickened by the second hand smooth that seemed to permeate every room of the house. When my parents took us- my sister and I – out in the car, I would feel sick and sometimes throw up. It would be attributed to “car sickness” How ******* stupid!

My father – who smoked every thing and constantly-cigarettes, pipes ,cigars – died from cardiovascular disease at the age of 62. My mother, who was also a heavy smoker , quit at that point and lived until 93.Unfortuatlt, my younger sister did not develop the same aversion to tobacco as I did and had a heart attack a few years agio . Then she quit and is ok now

As I young adult and beyond -in various work and social environments - I continued to be subjected to exposure to second hand smoke, I developed a degree of tolerance for it out of necessity but always recoiled from it. Now, I have no tolerance at all, Even out doors, if someone is smoking 50 yards away, I will smell it and glare at them in disgust. I fully realize that I have a pathological aversion to tobacco beyond the nastiness that it actually is. but I make no apologies
