In Austria people ask me where im from and what my religion is and no one asks my race or biological ancestry
When people here ask me where im from i say either my town in Austria or my town in serbia no one asks whether im brown but i do often voluntarily communicate my ancestry talk about genetics explain why im brown even if no one asked
People also ask my religion and traditions
I explain orthodoxy
Austria also asks religion in schools hospitals etc but not race
Austria also collects a church tax via government
The US collects informations on race in every walk of life but its taboo to have a cross in public schools or to ask someone his religion
