WASHINGTON, DC — For the first time since 1850, when the U.S. Census Bureau started recording nativity data, immigration accounted for the entire growth of the U.S. population between 2022 and 2023, amid falling U.S. birth rates.

This finding is just one of many included in the latest edition of Frequently Requested Statistics on Immigrants and Immigration in the United States, the popular guide issued yearly by the Migration Policy Institute (MPI). This one-stop-shop for authoritative, essential data includes statistics on the changing shape and origins of the U.S. immigrant population, U.S. destinations, immigrant statuses and immigration enforcement.

The United States has long been home to more immigrants than any other country worldwide, and the U.S. immigrant population reached 47.8 million in 2023. While this represents a record number of immigrants, the foreign-born share of the U.S. population remains slightly below the record 14.8 percent set in 1890, standing at 14.3 percent in 2023.

Nearly three-quarters of all immigrants in the United States are legally present, and almost half are naturalized citizens.

It's not difficult to understand this concept. Access is determined by cost, & rising costs reduce access.

Raising a family costs money, so what are functional American citizens supposed to do when having families is being priced out of reach?

That and we compete with poverty economies, and so we're becoming one. It's a competition between poverty economies.

The only question that remains is which society dies "for the greater good" first?

You mean for 40 years of Republicans dismantling unions, driving down wages, right to work, at-will employment, etc... that some people are just choosing not to have kids?

But don't worry, Trump is over there talking about transgender mice or something.

I think it's due to butt ugly dem women not being able to get laid. :laughing0301:

It's fun to watch you guys avoid the consequences of your policies.

You won the war on working people. This is your prize.

Declining birthrates and inevitable replacement by non-whites.
Well, we damn sure stopped the "non-whites" at the border....Stopped them cold.

You hate "non-whites" now?

No, you didn't. They'll just find other ways to get in now.

Half of illegal immigrants didn't have to sneak across the border. They came here on legal tourist, student, work, or marriage visas and just stayed after those Visas expired.

Yeah. Look at the Pigs on PMSNBC. Then look at FOX. Also ,Karoline Leavitt just had a kid. That unperson before her was a Bull Dagger.

Pioe down, Chatbot.
You mean you have been binge watching The View and stealing their silly rants.

With tbe leftoids pushing inflation to 40 year highs and hoping to interject the U S into a Europran war, people have to make difficult choices.

Trump is talking about eliminating funding for research about tranny mice that leftoids are spending.
That and your tranny comics and queer musicals you dumped on foreign nations which they never asked for.

So, a sugar-coated great replacement theory thread.

When do you maga infested tariff national socialists start chanting "the Jews will not replace us"?

38% illegally cross the border, 62% over stayed their visa

Okay, that kind of proves my point even more.
So if you secure the border, you've immediately stopped 38% of the problem. Then it's a case of finding those that overstayed their visa, kick them out, and ban them for life in obtaining a visa. Why didn't Biden do this?

Except you can't secure the border. They'll just figure out new ways to get in.

Here's how you end the illegal alien problem.

1) Establish a system of national ID that is current and up to date, with biometrics and real time updating. This ID would be required to receive any government service or civilian employment. This will get rid of both your illegal entrants and your overstays.

2) Harshly crack down on (mostly white) people who hire undocumented immigrants. This should include high fines and even government takeovers of businesses.

3) Establish a 1-800 line to report employers who are hiring people illegally.

4) Adequately staff USCIS and the immigration courts to QUICKLY resolve immigration issues.

5) develop policies to mitigate economic pressures from the countries most of these people are coming from. For instance, don't wage a 20 year economic war on Venezuela and then complain all these Venezuelans are showing up claiming asylum from a country you are wrecking.

Edit -

6. Establish a guest worker program to meet the LEGITIMATE needs of the US Economy for unskilled labor.

You sound ashamed for being white.

Not so sure it's white people doing all the hiring.

All the hiring? No.

Most of it? Yes.

I just don't mean the farmer and the sweatshop owner who don't want to pay Americans a fair wage.

I mean the rich yuppie who pays Lupe under the table because she's just like a member of the family.

I mean the people who hire a bunch of day laborers at the Home Depot when that DIY project turned out to be harder than HGTV made it look.

The problem is we hate the undocumented in theory but love them in practice.

Ah, which brings me to the point I forgot to add to my list.

Good point.

Types of Guest Worker Visas:
  • H-2A: For temporary agricultural work.
  • H-2B: For temporary non-agricultural work.
  • H-1B: For specialized occupations, typically requiring a bachelor's degree or equivalent.

That's not why they hang there......you ever hear of the contractors desk at HD?

That's why.

Except we don't issue enough of them to meet the needs, and they are too difficult to get.
