When the law was passed by a Federalist , President John Adams, people were being fined and jailed for speech against the Federal government.
Jefferson overturned much of it or let it expire.
It seems kicking out dangerous foreigners was still agreed by everyone.
You'd figure that would be the first law Obama would have wanted to overturn
