Interesting, no?

The Creepy Ones working with the U.S to try some shinanigans?

I am fairly technical but I am sure the laptop could sniff our wifi details. This is very peculiar to say the least...

More details have been gleaned from the tracking number.

Something is amiss and I am going to seek answers.

Or it could be bugged. Or it could have keystroke logging software installed on it or some other spyware that tracks all of your computer activity & sends it back to the mothership.

You should get it out of your home. I once found a cellphone out in the parking lot one evening while looking for my own, I wouldn't even bring it inside, I put it in a Faraday bag and left it in the garage.

Edit: I was able to locate the owner and return it a few days later (without going through it's content)

I never used it of course. Here is the really strange part, it was apparently sent from my former employer out of the blue. The seal on the internal box to access the laptop was broken AND the laptop was on as the backlights on the keyboard were lit.

My concern is maybe it recorded something and/or was collecting WIFI information?

Speaking to some, as I feared, it may be possible to snag MAC device details which they could spoof. That was one of my concerns as it would be more difficult to track compared to WIFI sniffing.

Trump isn't the only one who has faced abuse by weaponized agencies, the terrorism against me has gone on for much longer than he suffered. It's quite creepy though.

Disconnect the battery and you'll be fine.

I'm opening that bitch and seeing if it has proof of aliens!

(Edit) oh wait, I read that wrong....I was thinking from the US government.

If you received a random laptop top, I'd question it. Does it say who sent it? ThT would be where I start.

Why would they need to do that from a laptop inside your house when that could easily be done from the street?

It's a foreign source. They could help the Creepy Ones as they don't need a warrant. There is plenty of cross border cooperation.

If the computer is not on the internet, how does it send any information to another f-ing country? Do you not know how a laptop works? Just throw the damn thing away if you are that pathetically paranoid! You'll sleep better.

It wouldnt transmit the data in real time, it would collect information locally and then when I send the laptop back they will have the information it collected.

Ozro Rothschild here.
There is nothing wrong with the laptop you received. It isn't able to spy on you, or track you or emit hypnotizing gases.
You have my word.
Honest......

Then why do you suspect something is wrong with it if they sent it to you? Did you bother to ask why?
Yes I asked why, they lied and said it must have been in transit before the Creepy Ones ensured I was relieved of duties.

The problem is, I have the tracking number and it was sent priority only the day prior. None of it makes sense and they know it.

Throw the damned thing away if they sent it by mistake and you don't want it! You are just proving yourself to be a paranoid conspiracy theorist! No wonder they let you go!

Yeah, what could possible have contributed to my paranoia after 40 years?

Once I was in an online chat with my ISP and they told me to disconnect and call them by phone as "it appears there is another person who has intercepted and it privy to this conversation".

The same ISP by the way, in which a guy showed up to my door and said he needed to connect something to our network to "improve your signal", I declined and contacted the ISP who said they do not know why he arrived that way and offer this.

This is one of so many instances. They've been terrorizing me for decades. When a laptop show up, on, the seal broken, and it was from the U.S, yeah, there are 1000 prior reasons for me to be paranoid.
