This is Obama's strategy for defacto amnesty.......

Overwhelmed U.S. courts are giving illegal aliens up to three years to show up for immigration hearings after they’ve been released in the U.S. and the court dates will only increase further into the future.

The courts are buried under a massive backlog due to the sharp increase in illegal immigration according to the AP and considering that the 90% of illegals who miss their court dates are rarely prosecuted anyway, the U.S. has effectively established a de facto amnesty program which will only ensure that more illegal immigrants cross into America.

“For many immigrants, the delays in the court system work in their favor because they know they have so long before their cases are resolved,” reported the AP.

This situation “is and will continue to be something of a magnitude unlike anything we have ever seen,” according to Justice Department official Lauren Alder Reid who spoke to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
....

“Even if they did show up to their court date, what we’re going to start seeing is what we call the ‘anchor babies’ because these court dates are being set from what I understand so far down the road that these people are going to come here, settle in, some of them are going to have children, and those citizens are now United States citizens.”

“How is a judge going to deport these people if they have a United States citizen as a child?”

Is overthrowing the governments in South and Central America, legal?

Because that's what the US has been engaging in.

The government in most of these places, notably, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador? Are direct results of American intervention.

As is the crime and poverty.

The deportation of adults or adults with children can be expedited regardless of where they are from, the 2008 law only applies to unaccompanied children.

You are wrong! President Obama is merely following existing law. What part of 'existing law' do you not understand that gives these children rights when they come into this country? After all, it was your Republican President George W. Bush who signed that legislation into law giving them rights and that's as it should be. They are running away from a country where rape, hunger, abuse, threats, etc. run rampant. But the more we read right wing diatribes on this issue the more we come to realize just how disconnected and heartless you people are especially where children are concerned.

As to “How is a judge going to deport these people if they have a United States citizen as a child?” Not being a lawyer, I do understand that the law is very clear about that. If a child is a U.S. Citizen, they are a U.S. Citizen. Period. That affords them full rights as an American Citizen just as any other American would have and while their parents can still be deported, it gives most parents a chance to argue their case regarding deportation where a young child who needs his or her parents is concerned. Period.

since when does Obama give a damn about the law.....? he could change this in an instant with his pen and phone.....

or he could steer a change of the law through Congress within a matter of days....

why the **** hasn't he done something yet.....

The left could give a shit about law, they will cheer using it when it suits them and cry about upholding them when it doesn't. Just look at the hypocritical asses on the Hobby Lobby decision where the court upheld existing law. Their dear leaders ignoring existing law is what created this mess and they didn't care, now they want him to follow the law. I'm starting to believe most lefties are sociopathic schizophrenics.

These countries have corrupt governments. Bring enough of their people here and ours will be just as corrupt. Just the way democrats want it.

Because he doesn't want to. This is escalating his "fundamental change" promise and now he sees that he might get the job done by the end of his second term. Amazing legacy he's going to leave behind.

The president has to follow the law just like anyone else as he is not above it unlike the U.S. Supreme Court. The only reason he has had to take matters into his own hands recently is because the Do Nothing Republican Congress has been doing nothing to help with the immigrant crisis. The president was not sent to Washington, D.C. to do nothing. He has to work for the people at finding solutions and that is what he is doing. But as he has said, it would make his job a lot easier if the Republicans would cooperate with him and start passing much needed legislation in the House and allocating the funds needed to take care of the border problem. But they won't because they feel it would give the president great credit and Republicans cannot see the president receiving any credit at all for anything. That truly sucks! That is no way to be treating a president who is reaching out, working, and trying to solve the problems this country is facing. But that is all being noted and documented by the American voting public that Republicans would rather sit on their hands and do nothing rather than pass much needed legislation and that's where the Democrats score Big Points and High Grades by comparison!

I don't understand why it takes so long..

Make me one of those judges.. I will promise that I could clear at least 30 cases a day, 6 days a week.

How long does it take to say, "Show me your immigration papers. You don't have any? Deport. Next Case."

These countries have corrupt governments. Bring enough of their people here and ours will be just as corrupt. Just the way democrats want it.

there's more truth to that statement than not......all we have to do is look at places run by the Democraps.....Chicago and Detroit for example.....

what better way to destroy America and all that it stands for....?

paying for more judges is one of the reasons Obama is asking for the 4 billion supplemental....

where is he planning on getting more judges is what i'd like to know....my guess is he would appoint government 'officials' of his own liking....

in actuality i believe that 4bil request is all for show.....what's happening now is exactly what Obama wants to happen....right now they can just walk into the detention centers, claim a relative and place to go which isn't even confirmed , and get a paper to show up in court in 3 years.....then they disappear forever into the 'shadows'.....where they can have their anchor babies and eventually wind up as citizens voting for demonrats...

What a crock of shit. There has been an immigration backlog problem for longer than Obama has been around.

https://beta.congress.gov/bill/110th-congress/house-bill/3828

And what is Boehner doing about it?

Oh, yeah. He has shut down immigration reform completely. He's terrified of the bigoted base.

So it looks to me like it is Boehner who is the problem.

If we would have had the Border Security in place that Pelosi killed, and if Obama had enforced all of the existing immigration laws instead of making exemptions, then this problem would not have occurred in the first place.

Democrats are the real problem here.

Boehner won't initiate the bill because Dimwits will shoehorn in 'comprehensive immigration'....

the bill needs to originate in the Senate.....what's holding up old Dirty Harry......?
