Illegal vs legal immigrant

Once a brasilian exchange student called me illegal alien in school
First and only time someone said im illegal i answered isnt it common sense that im legal when im publically registered in the school records
Im not sure but maybe in the USA a illegal can go to school to doctors to public places without getting caught this brasilian lived in the USA before he came to Austria

A legal immigrant is an individual who has properly gone through the legal steps to enter a sovereign nation.
There is no illegal "immigrant."
There are illegal "migrants." Individuals who pass through a nation's border without going through the proper entry points and being vetted to ensure that their purpose here is not for nefarious purposes.
What is preferred are the following:
1. Highly educated people with excellent skillsets to be a positive addition and willing to assimilate into the culture. Believe in the Constitution and its Bill of Rights. The race doesn't matter.
2. Individuals who are willing to work hard, learn the language and not commit any crime. Again, fit into the culture and believe in the Constitution and its Bill of Rights.
Those not wanted:
1, Criminals (drug-cartel members, drug dealers, drug addicts, alcoholics, thieves, grifters, rapists, pedophiles, gang members, terrorists, murderers.
2. Marxists/Socialists/anti-western religious individuals. All three are anti-Constitution and its Bill of Rights.
Our Constitution and its Bill of Rights, granting the people freedoms, are why many are drawn here. Sadly, the garbage also seeks to come here as well.
Just because you are enrolled in school doesn't make you legal, only an individual getting an education. If you and your family came here without going through the proper steps, rectify them so you wouldn't have to worry about being deported.
