You can almost hear a pin drop at the border.
Border crossings have plummeted to levels not seen in decades this month following President’s Trump’s swift crackdown on illegal immigration across the southwest, The Post can reveal.
So far in February, about 359 illegal migrants per day have been caught across the entire southern border — down more than 90% from February 2024, according to leaked Customs and Border Protection data.
That puts the US on track to have the lowest monthly border crossings in at least 25 years. If the trend continues, the number of illegal migrants coming into the US could hit a level not seen since 1968, nearly 60 years ago.
It’s the lowest the US has seen “in almost a lifetime,” said Mark Krikorian, the executive director at the Center for Immigration Studies.

Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks recently said on “Fox & Friends” that agents working the frontlines needed Trump’s leadership to get the job done.
“US Border Patrol knows how to get the job done, we know how to secure the border,” he said.
“All we needed was a president that was going to empower us — a strong leader like President Trump — and a secretary like Secretary Noem that knows exactly what we need to do to secure the border.”

What a difference a presidency makes!
It’s a shame that it took four years for common sense to take place. Like a parent that must correct out of control children, Trump has laid down the law despite Neo-Marxist Democrat tantrums, and the positive consequences follow.
Biden and his DHS buddy Mayorkas intentionally opened the spigot on illegal immigration. In less than a month that has been slowed to a trickle. When Biden and the Dems were saying: "We don't have the power to fix immigration and Congress needs to pass new laws."......They were lying!
The next step is to round up the criminals and by doing so placing pressure on those illegals working for and with them.
The idea being that if you make it uncomfortable and put enough pressure on them, the bulk will return to their homes in Central and South America on their own.
I predict that the remittances' going South also slows to a trickle in the coming months.

Pam Bondi has been making some very stern statements about Americans following the law re the illegals and also to the illegals themselves: "Go home. Go home and at some time you might be able to come back. If we have to deport you there is no guarantee you will ever be allowed to return."

They need to be running television and radio ads, dropping flyers in areas where large number of migrants congregate, post in every work place, etc. That and turning off the spigot of free food, housing, healthcare, education, cash etc. and hopefully the largest number will just leave.

We might need to arrange with Mexico protection and safe passage through the cartels and such, but that would be a whole lot cheaper than having them here.
