So it is unending harassment or death after all.
No, we all have to follow orders. We take orders from our supervisor or business owner at work. We take orders from our insurance companies. As children we have to take orders from our parents. When in school, we have to take orders from our teachers. As adults, we have to take orders from our landlord or homeowners associations, or abide by city regulations on what we are allowed to do or not do with our property.
We give our police the authority to direct orders of a suspect for their own safety and that of the immediate public. It's not harassment in any way or form. It's also the simplest solution to what some consider an ongoing problem. As a truck driver, we get pulled over all time for vehicle inspections. We didn't do anything wrong, they just chose us at random. It's not harassment, it's their attempt to make sure our roads are safe. And if you're smart about it, don't fight the cops trying to do their job even if you disagree with them. If you think there is a problem, you don't challenge it on the road. You file a complaint with the State Troopers or Department of Transportation for questionable conduct by an officer.
