If Trump doesn't succeed in returning jobs and reversing the outsourcing, socialism will eventually replace capitalism.

Capitalism has become corporatism, corporate welfare, and it is hurting the case for capitalism. In fact, it isn't capiitalism, it is just "capitalism for you, socialism for me (corporation)". The younger generation in Canada doesn't have a bright outlook or real prospects for their future. Ditto for many young Americans who feel the American Dream is over. Trumps term will either bring more faith in capitalism through vast job growth. Not just GDP, all strong economies need jobs and a thriving Middle Class.

What if I told you that by buying 10% of Intel, he is already engaging in socialism?

"Seize the means of production." That's step 1. Now, any future iterations of our government can take that as a template and buy more stakes in the companies critical to American society and government.

That's dangerous. My spidey senses are tingling.

Beat me to it. Well, the leftards have, with no concept of the definition, been freely calling the annoying orange a fascist. He actually commits an act that meets the definition and silence.

Democrats don't know what fascism is.

Democrats run around in mask attacking Tesla owners, spray paint swastikas on their cars, and then scream FASCISTS at them.

Democrats are the fascist they claim Americans to be.

AI Overview

Fascism is a far-right, ultranationalist, and authoritarian political ideology that prioritizes the nation above all else, characterized by a dictatorial leader, a single political party, aggressive militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong government control over society and the economy. It is a totalitarian system that demands absolute loyalty to the state and its leader.

Um, wow.

Here's the problem. The ideal capitalist enterprise wouldn't need ANY employees.

AI to do the office stuff and Robots to do the factory stuff. Maybe a few IT Guys to walk around and make sure everything is working.

The problem is, what do we do in a post-work society?

Naw, that's just feeling returning to your legs because you haven't gotten off the couch since May.

Government spending is already 36% of GDP. And the US is behind most other industrialized Nations. The UK is 44%. Germany is 48%. Japan is 41%.

The American dream was close to being over due to Biden's inflation. Unfortunately, that is cooked into the books and cannot be turned back without deflation, which is bad. So, the best we can do is keep inflation from getting high again and let the economy slowly catch up. There is no quick fix to the devastation Biden caused. But, if democrats get back in there we'll be right back to throwing gasoline on the fire.

I see! Though I tend to sit around the house. I am everywhere in the house all at once.

Now that you've so adroitly diagnosed me with neuropathy, I hear the 1000lb sisters need help before their gravitational forces result in a collision that causes a kilonova.

Trump is leading the way but he cant do it all by himself

We as a nation have to want to make America great again

And so far only about half of native born Americans and practically none of the migrants want that to happen

How Is That Any Different from the Plutocracy Seizing the Means of Production?

Anyone who doesn't see the similarity believes that the investors are the means of production, and their employees are merely inanimate tools that only the owners know how to make work.

Reforming corporate law would fix a lot of things, but it would have to be an international arrangement.

Gates and others like him seem to believe the answer is reducing the population down to a minimum.

Why do you want a system, Socialism, that has never worked? Those that tried suffered the consequences and no country operates a socialist state? So why the dumbness?

No one has said capitalism is perfect.

Who said I want socialism?

He’s going the wrong way. Trump has no policies promoting middle class wealth. In fact he his making it harder.

Joe is correct.

We are heading for a form of socialism no matter what.

AI and automation are going to replace a vast number of workers.

What Trump is attempting is to corral the largest number of businesses in the United States to form the tax base for Universal Basic Income.

That's the way I see it. Socialism is inevitable when there is no longer work to be done by human hands. The question is, what will be the form of that socialism.
