If space is curved, allegedly causing gravity, a question arises

The so called "Universe" is not Space expanding-- "Nothing" cannot expand-- The Galaxies are traveling AWAY from an original Center-- Through Empty SPACE-- Two possibilities-- They will eventually dissapate --OR-- Entropy will slow and they will reverse , culminating in another "Big Bang"
All Is Lava

The only emptiness is the framework that space enters as a substance from the breaking apart of the original entry from the fourth spatial dimension into space, matter, energy, and light.

There was no Singularity; that is an impossible concentration of mass/energy. The Black Hole, taken as contained within the 3 dimensions, is also an astrogeek rattle, or toy doll in an infant's crib. Another toy, the Big Bang, was actually a volcanic eruption from the fourth dimension, spewing an astronomical amount of its own substance.

If there is such as a thing of curved space,
It is the only way for space to exist. It only appears straight to you at local, short distances plus the fact that anything you might measure it with shares the same curvature.

clearly it would be due to the enormous speed of Earth as it moves in space.
Totally unrelated. Space is curved everywhere, the curvature around the Earth due to its own local mass is strictly a local effect within the greater curvature of the universe itself.

So, it would be momentum and not gravity.
Not at all.

Look, RW, you believe what you want. Nothing you posted above (AI?) conflicts with what I've told you. You don't seem to understand that space, while appearing flat in 3D is still curved in a higher dimension because of Dark Matter. It has to be.

No two ways about it. Now, you can either believe me, research it out for yourself or believe something else.

You believe a theory. I can't comprehend curved space. I have proposed one way it could be if the velocity of Earth causes it.

I can't comprehend curved space.

The Earth has nothing to do with it. The Earth is just a tiny fleck of nothing in a billion billion cubic parsecs.

I cannot conceive of space being anything other than curved because anything else is inconsistent with known laws of physics.

One of the many theories is accurate. You sure are excited about curved space.

Claims that space is curved seems to me since I first heard of it to be fiction. I never could get my brain to conceive of space, that is empty areas, could curve.

Now along comes GRACE which claims to measure various areas where gravity differs. So, if on earth gravity is different, how can space curve be the cause?

GRACE Mission Overview

The Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) is a joint partnership between the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the United States and Deutsche Forschungsanstalt für Luft und Raumfahrt (DLR) in Germany [Tapley et al., 2004]. GRACE was selected as the second mission under the NASA Earth System Science Pathfinder (ESSP) Program in May 1997 and launched in March 2002. The accurate maps of time-variable gravity inferred from the GRACE observations have revolutionized the ability to monitor mass variability caused by a variety of geophysical processes, leading to important discoveries that span the Earth sciences. Sources of mass variability measured by GRACE include: changes due to surface and deep currents in the ocean; runoff and ground water storage on land masses; exchanges between ice sheets or glaciers and the ocean; and solid Earth mass changes from earthquakes and glacial isostatic adjustment. Designed for a nominal mission lifetime of five years, GRACE is currently operating in an extended mission phase, and is expected to continue through at least late 2017. The mission consists of two identical spacecraft that fly about 220 km apart in a near-polar orbit with an average mission altitude of about 450 km. GRACE maps Earth's gravity field with accurate measurements of the distance between the two satellites, made possible with the K-band microwave ranging system. The other key components of the instrument suite include GPS receivers for precise satellite positioning, star cameras for attitude determination, and on-board accelerometers for the removal of non-gravitational forces [Mission Project Home Page].
