It would be Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A-Changin'"

Donald Trump and his Make America Great Again campaign has been the most significant political movement since the American political spectrum was divided into two parties. And this one song perfectly describes what happened in 2024, when Americans decided they'd had enough.

Put yourself in an imaginary position of being a Democrat, and think about how these words should have been interpreted as a warning...

"Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin'
And you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'
Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
The battle outside ragin'
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'
The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'"

Don't need to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

We Are the Champions

Song by

Queen
I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through (and I mean to go on and on and on)
We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions
Of the world
I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it
I thank you all
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose, ah (and I mean to go on and on and on)
We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions
Of the world
We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions

Admit that the waters around you have grown, and accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone. If your time to you is worth saving and you better start swimming, or you'll sink like a stone For the times they are a-changing.

Your old road is rapidly aging. Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand. For the times they are a-changing.

It's a few years old but fits in many ways.
For one, this could be seen as what goes on here at USMB;
But it still describes much in the USA of today.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody Parody Opinion Rhapsody

BTW, Websearching shows dozens of versions of parody of Bohemian Rhapsody.

One could be tempted to start a thread of all the parodies of BR.
Or of parody songs in general.

Also BTW, this fits with the OP since the transformation is still contested and in progress ....

We've almost lost our nation to many who don't want to assimilate or change us into whatever they are escaping, so let's hope the new leadership helps save what's left.
