Syrian Army:
"The General Command of the regular army reported that a redeployment operation was carried out in Aleppo aimed at absorbing the attack of the armed opposition, and recognized the latter's control over large areas of the city.
The General Command said in a statement that "during the past days, the armed terrorist organizations affiliated with the so-called Al-Nusra Front, supported by thousands of foreign terrorists, heavy weapons and large numbers of drones, launched a large-scale attack from multiple axes on the fronts of Aleppo and Idlib," adding that "our armed forces fought fierce battles against them in various points of engagement extending over a strip exceeding 100 km to stop their advance, and dozens of men of our armed forces rose during the battles as martyrs and others were wounded."
"The large number of terrorists and the multiplicity of fronts prompted our armed forces to carry out a redeployment operation aimed at strengthening the defense lines in order to absorb the attack, preserve the lives of civilians and soldiers, and prepare for a counterattack," the statement said.
"With the continued flow of terrorists across the northern border and the intensification of military and technical support for them, terrorist organizations were able during the past hours to enter large parts of the neighborhoods of Aleppo city without being able to establish their positions due to the continued targeting of our armed forces to concentrated and strong strikes, pending the completion of the arrival of military reinforcements and their distribution to the fighting axes in preparation for a counterattack," the statement said.
The statement concluded by saying that "the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces confirms that this measure taken is a temporary measure and will work by all possible means to ensure the security and safety of our people in the city of Aleppo, and will continue its operations and carry out its national duty in confronting terrorist organizations to expel them and restore the control of the state and its institutions over the entire city and its countryside.""

SDF:
"Local newspaper Al-Watan reported Saturday that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have expanded their control over a number of Aleppo neighborhoods, down to Nubl and Zahra, pointing to a large movement of displacement from the city.
The newspaper, quoting civil sources, said that "the SDF took control of the neighborhoods of Al-Halak Al-Fawqani, the neighborhood of Bustan Pasha, Ashrafieh, Al-Syrian, the industrial district in the city of Aleppo, some areas of the northern countryside, up to the towns of Nubl and Zahra.
The newspaper added that "the SDF forces expanded their control east of the city of Aleppo and took control of Aleppo International Airport and the towns of Deir Hafer, Tal Aran and Tal Hasel."
The newspaper pointed to the continued large displacement movement witnessed in the areas of Aleppo through the Khanaser - Athriya road, which caused a suffocating traffic crisis on the road.
The SDF's moves come after the armed opposition took control of the western countryside of Aleppo and large areas of Aleppo city."
