I watched the film "Volcano" last night.........

It features Tommy Lee Jones and Anne Heche. It's quite good. It's suspenseful, although a bit unbelievable at times. If you like disaster films, check this one out. I think you'll enjoy it.
It was really unbelievable....but it was pretty well made.

I preferred "Dante's Peak".

I wish someone would make a decent movie about Mount St Helens.

The science is bad.

But Tommy Lee Jones saves the day turning a silly premise into a watchable flick.

Sorry to disagree but I don't know which was worse: Dante's Peak or Volcano and they were both horrible. I laughed my ass off and I wasn't supposed to be a comedy!

You do know Anne Heche was Ellen the Degenerate's gay lover, then she went psycho and later killed herself in a car accident.

I personally have no problems with lesbians, but Ellen the Degenerate? Things that make you go "bllleeeeccchhhhhh"!

Okay, seriously... I personally didn't like it, but I have watched it more than once. There is something about bad disaster movies that I can't resist... Greenland... Earthquake... Geostorm... you get the idea. Though in my defense, Greenland did have Morena Baccarin.

Anyway, what I wanted to say was... what matters is not reviews, not what other people think of a movie, it's whether or not you are entertained.

Volcano and Dante’s Peak are solid disaster movies. Who cares if they have silly moments?

What’s with always having two at the same time?

Armageddon and Deep Impact

Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down

Eight Legged Freaks and Arachnophobia

Neither movie was very good. However, Dante's Peak was a more accurate portrayal the volcanic phenomena. It tracked pretty closely to the Mount St. Helens irruption in 1980.
