Eleven days after Charlie Kirk was killed in September, Marjorie Taylor Greene, the third-term Georgia congresswoman, was watching his memorial service on TV as the luminaries of the conservative movement and the Trump administration gathered to pay tribute to the young activist.

What stayed with Greene long afterward were the last two speakers who took the stage. First there was Kirk’s widow, Erika, who stood in white before the crowd filling the Arizona stadium, lifted her tear-filled eyes and said that she forgave her husband’s killer. And then there was President Trump. “He was a missionary with a noble spirit and a great, great purpose,” he said of Kirk. “He did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them. That’s where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent, and I don’t want the best for them.”

That was absolutely the worst statement,” Greene wrote to me in a text message months after the memorial service. And the contrast between Erika Kirk and the president was clarifying, she added. “It just shows where his heart is. And that’s the difference, with her having a sincere Christian faith, and proves that he does not have any faith.”

i do not for one second believe she was naive, she kne w who and what Trump was and was more than to follow him, she did not about faith or character, she was a sycophant just other MAGA. She is still loyal to MAGA. Her voters hate her. She is stepping away because she knew she would NOT be reelected. She floated running for Governor and was rejected. Her next job will be on Fox.

She wasn't naïve. She's made loads of money by embracing MAGA, by getting the MAGA vote.

She'll say anything, now she decided that she can make more money by fighting Trump. Why? We don't know yet, maybe what she's doing won't work. But she's a dirty piece of work just like Trump.

AOC revealed she turned because Trump denied her a Senate run. There's no way that evil grifter suddenly changed because she found the light. Her grift just ran out.

The question will be "is she really MAGA or just a paid Neo-Con in place to play spoiler and try to draw votes away from the next GOP candidate?"

You mean MTG.... but yeah, she's only in it for the money. She'll say and do ANYTHING to get richer.

Remember she made her bones by following shooting victims and harassing them.

Good riddance to this kook! I do disagree that her voters hate her. She very well could have won reelection so I'll give her credit for having some semblance of integrity and walking away, as well as pushing for the release of the Epstein files. Many in her position would have ridden the Trump train to nowhere till the very end. Both sides are guilty of hanging onto power till they have one foot in the grave.

A few years ago, she put it all on the line in choosing a Speaker of the House. We had a some neo cons with the latest one at the time on Paul Ryan shortchanging Trump in agendas. War mongering has to stop. The middle east and Ukraine have to stop. America first is just as it sounds. Stop giving resources to keep the destruction and devastation going. We did not sign up for this. Having Zelensky and Netanyahu show up every couple of months here for the next three years is going to fragment us. And from within the Republican party also.

I'm more like Trump than I thought. You know what they say 'democrats ya can't live with em and ya can't kill em, yet.
Well if that's the sort of asshole you're like... then....

I mean, people compare Trump to Hitler, and you people get angry about it. Then you say things like "ya can't kill em, yet." and you know that the comparison is actually valid.

Absolutely, there's some of that in play, but she still could have grifted to the end of time as a congressman no? Isn't that what many have done?
