The John Birch Society was very anti civil rights and very pro segregation and both JFK and Robert Kennedy was for civil rights and anti segregation.
Everywhere they looked (members of the JBS) they saw a communist, and blacks were African communists.
Not a thing has changed.
Yep, I actually remember that shit.
And yet ol' Fred Koch didn't have a problem building an oil infrastructure for Stalin. Amazing how enough rubles sooth the pain of eeeeeebil, innit?
The entire United States didn't have a problem with Stalin when
we allied with him in WWII. We fed and clothed and armed the entire
Soviet Union and they never paid us back.
I'm trying to remember who was the POTUS back then. Oh yeah,
now I remember...FDR.
btw...Part of I-75 in Georgia is named the Larry MacDonald Memorial
Highway. Larry MacDonald was killed when the Soviets shot down
Korean Airline Flight 007.
Larry MacDonald was then the President of the John Birch Society.
Hate to be the revealer of big braking news but the USSR did more, and paid way more, to win WWII than we or anybody else did.
Because they don't know how to fight. Sending a Million Men on a
frontal attack is going to run up the casualty count...pretty quickly.
It was a race between Hitler and Stalin to see who could kill more
Russians. Hitler or Uncle Joe.
Some Ally. They wouldn't let our B-29's land in Russia after bombing
raids over Japan. Prior to that, they wouldn't allow Doolittle's Raiders
to land in Russia...because they were a "neutral" with Japan.
When one of our planes (B-29) landed there anyway, they interned
the crew and never returned the B-29. They reversed built it and
it became their long range bomber designed to carry Nukes.
At Potsdam, Uncle Joe said after Europe was won, they would
declare war on Japan. War ended in Europe on May. By the
beginning of August they still hadn't declared war on Japan.
Harry pressured them and Uncle Joe said they were in the process
of relocating troops. Then we bombed Hiroshima. On August 9th,
we dropped the second A-Bomb on Nagasaki. Ironic that day the
Russians broke off peace talks with Japan and invaded Manchuria.
They knew Japan was gonna cave and wanted in on the action at the end.
Speed and flanking is the way to fight a war...Not a massive frontal attack.
