Remember, this is who you guys are supporting. Incredible. The corruption in Canada is off the hook and Americans say "tell us how high to jump sir, we trust you emphatically".

“I know you. I know things about you.”

The warning, directed at a jail manager, came from an inmate as he was being shuffled toward a body scanner used to find contraband inside Toronto South Detention Centre. The inmate knew what kind of vehicle the manager drove. He said he knew what neighbourhood the manager lived in.

The inmate had shared this information “and more” to others on the range, according to an internal jail report obtained by the Star.
The manager, described by inmates and colleagues alike as ruling over the Etobicoke superjail with a heavy hand, had built a reputation for enforcement efforts that had long frustrated inmates.

But by May 2025, “things had gotten serious,” one jail worker told the Star.
Inmates were becoming more aggressive toward the manager; in one incident a few weeks prior, the manager had been punched. He returned to work the next day, “like nothing happened,” the worker said.

The inmate’s intimidating comments, made on one of the jail’s maximum security ranges, were a marked escalation.
In early June, the inmate was charged with uttering death threats against the manager, his family and his dog.

Three weeks later, a gunman descended on the manager’s home, the alleged attempted hit foiled by police lying in wait. Dramatic surveillance footage shows assailants crashing into a cruiser parked in the home’s driveway.
