Last night, I ordered five sandwich board street signs from Alibaba. Total price: $229. $60 for product; $160 for shipping, plus some fee. About two hours later, I got an email from "Kevin" Juang .

"We’ve just received the notice from our forwarders that container shipments have been temporarily suspended due to the frequent tariff adjustments.
Given the current uncertainty in tariff policy, we believe these extreme tariff measures may not be sustainable long-term, especially without viable alternative solutions in place. Is it okay we get prepare the goods, then let's see what's going on about the situation?"

I feel kind of bad for the poor son of a bitch. He's walking a fine line. He has to appease his Communist government by ripping the US, but at the same time, he doesn't want to insult me. My response was. "No, thank you. I don't believe President Trump will lift his necessary and compensatory tariffs, therefore, I am canceling my order."

I hated to do it because I need the signs. Fortunately, I found an American supplier who had something similar (no doubt bought from China) for just a little more. The American Company I used to deal with before I discovered Alibaba was charging $567 or so for the exact same signs as Alibaba had.

Let's get Americans making these signs for, say, $35-40 apiece. The key is removing all these onerous regulations they have to follow: minimum wage, EPA, OSHA, blah blah. THAT'S how you level the playing field.

Let's get rid of the regulations that require them to even send you what you order while we are at it. They are so burdensome.

BTW we have a local sign shop that makes signs for cheap even with the horrible regulations on them. Go figure.

Post the name. I'll look at their stuff.

We dont mess with those, but we mess with plastic ones and they are fairly cheap and last for a long time. You will need to replace the vinyl once or twice before needing a new base.

/—-/ I spent a short time in the sign business. The prices you were quoted sound high. I don’t doubt you, but you can use less expensive materials.

Each sign has to have been touched by at least one transgender Workperson? All signs must have a small corner with a rainbow flag in them? No names can be used on the sign that are not unisex? No one in the sign shop may be referred to by pronouns other than....they, them.....?
Those kinds of regulations?

Make sure to find a US seller for some chi-com widget when buying off eBay.

The chi-coms can hit your account for undisclosed import fees even after you pay.

If the shipping location is China then just move on.

Trump has made so much $$$ off of cheap Chinese products

Trump’s tariffs make Maga hats more expensive

President charges $40 for merchandise but cheaper bestsellers are made in China, which has been hit by the biggest levies

WASHINGTON —
As the United States presidential election enters its final phase, more and more voters are expressing support for their favored candidate by wearing election merchandise.

What they may not realize is that the “Make America Great Again” Trump hat or “Childless Cat Lady for Harris” T-shirt they’re wearing quite possibly was made in China.

With the help of e-commerce platforms, Chinese traders are flooding the market for U.S. election merchandise with cheap goods. Anecdotal evidence suggests U.S. makers of these products are struggling to compete.

“I think the amount of stuff on Amazon and Etsy that's coming from China and other countries in cargo ships and unloaded on American shores is drastically impacting American manufacturers’, like myself, ability to compete and grow our own business. I think it's dramatic,” said Ben Waxman, founder and co-owner of American Roots, an American apparel company.

Are there cheap China made knockoffs? Sure. But Trump can't control that. He can control his store's merchandise.

The tariffs will start working better as soon as working class Americans start adjusting to a minimum wage without benefits. The 'living' wages still being earned by a few uniionized workerss and the benefits, are communist innovations that should have never been accepted by America's ruling class.

Now unfortunately, Trump is left with the task of undoing the commie influence!

I always put a limit on my transactions when it's from either Hong Kong or China. I've been hit that way before. Is highly questionable as to whether or not you'll even receive your goods. Lately Amazon has been whoring themselves out a bit to China.

The new capitalism in America can be unionized workers with collective bargaining rights, but no rights to withdraw their services.

And of course the employers' right to terminate any of his workers for cause!

Those are the only changes that must be adopted to root any trace of communism out of America's system!

Call it ]b\ The right to work without communist interference! [/b]

Thank you for posting this. My info will be different each time, so I am looking for a frame I could slide poster board into.

/---/ Those are pretty inexpensive. When you said a metal sign, I didn't know if you meant the poster would be metal or just the frame.

CPAC does have some peculiar requirements don't they now....

Do you know of a place where I can get cheap metal frame A-frame sign? I've looked and now see one for $39.98
on Amazon.

A lot of people collect checks and benefits for not doing anything. From young to old. Not condemning it. And a percentage have paid for those checks and earned them also. There is an effect as taxes are higher and taken from younger employees. A lot of taxes we do not see.
