I can't stand Kirk Herbstreit, but he is everywhere. I can't avoid him
The guy obviously gets paid by the word. He just won't shut up. He shouts a long-winded meaningless comment for every single play. He offers no insight, he states the obvious, then repeats his mindless observations frequently "Like I said earlier........". Excellent color men like Tony Romo are more sparing with words and are often able to predict the next play. Herbstreit never offers anything near that level. I can't stand him to such a degree that I will mute the whole game.
So this past weekend. Herbstreit did both college football playoff games Friday and Saturday plus the NFL playoff game between the Steelers and Ravens Sunday. I thought I was going to lose my mind. I didn't know he did college and the pros. Turns out he pairs with Al Michaels on Amazon. I wanted to watch all three games, but I didn't hear any of them because I muted the bloviating buffoon.
