Mike Huckabee ad: Vote for [Video]
Americans won’t just be casting ballots on Nov. 6 — they will face a “test of fire,” and their votes will be “recorded in eternity.”
So says a new ad out from Mike Huckabee.
“Your vote will affect the future and be recorded in eternity,” the former presidential candidate intones. “Will you vote the values that will stand the test of fire? This is Mike Huckabee asking you to join me November the 6th and vote based on values that will stand the test of fire.”
In the clip, which runs just over two minutes and is connected to the organization Value Voters USA, Huckabee references a series of issues, including marriage, abortion and contraception mandates, to emphasize that this is a high-stakes election. Though Huckabee has endorsed GOP nominee Mitt Romney, he doesnÂ’t mention candidates by name in the clip.
“Although I clearly have a point of view and a preference for a candidate, this was about asking people to think for themselves,” he told POLITICO in an email.
