How to become the greatest musician.

A man hops into a cab in New York and says to the cabbie, "Do you know how to get to Carnegie Hall?"

The cabbie says, "Practice, Practice, Practice".

There is no talent that is more idiosyncratic than musical talent. Carol King was writing songs and playing the piano in the womb. Others practice until their fingers wear down to the bone and never produce anything close to "music."

Either you have it or you don't. If you have talent AND practice, practice, practice, then greatness can be yours...not that it will earn a living for you...just sayin'.

Anybody can learn how to play an instrument and make music with it. Songwriting however, is the true talent which you either have or you don't.
