how do you rank the BEACH boys for greatest bands

I like Kokomo:

Love that one too as it reminds me of being in Florida Winters with our lil boat exploring all the bays and lil islands, etc.

This one here is a fav too. Just reminds me what we dreamed growing up and now we live it.

Brian Wilson was a musical genius. The Beach Boys were meh

Bruce Johnston ranks up there too though. He was very innovative when it came to production.

I don't put him in Brian's league, but he was pretty talented too.

Queen, The Eagles, and Led Zepplin are all 100% better than the Beach Boys.

Beach Boys just sound like a bunch of men trying to sing like 13 year old girls.
Most of their songs are annoying as hell.
I'm not saying they weren't good at it, but it was NOT "my cup of tea".

"'Warmth of the Sun' was done in 1963, right after John F. Kennedy was assassinated. We wrote it for him. That was one of my best collaborations with Mike Love. (Brian Wilson)

I think all those bands are great but in different categories and different times and for different reasons but then, I'm a musician and, for me, a lot of the time I can appreciate the more technical aspects. The Beach Boys had solid harmonies and some well written lyrics. Queen had Mercury, the Eagles were all multi talented and Led Zep was pure rock/blues power. All were exceptional.

So the best band are ??
Beattles
Led Zep
Stones
Pink Floyd

Tough choice. I would have picked the Beatles in the 60's. They're the reason I took up playing the guitar. Then a little later the Stones because my fledgling band could play their tunes easier. Led Zep would be next as I was blown away by them when I saw them in their first show in SF. They were actually the underbill for Country Joe and The Fish but they blew everyone away. Dark Side of the moon was a pivotal album for me as well. I would listen and almost get lost in it. Sorry I do not have only 1 favorite.

van Halen, Guns and Metallica are next
Van Halen, a real force in the guitar playing world. The tunes were OK but Van Halen was like a shooting star over the whole arrangement.

Another favorite of mine; Stevie Ray Vaughn. Probably my favorite modern, rock/blues artist. Sad he's gone.

They have some classically haunting tunes.

I can only listn to them in RAGE MODE lol

all their songs are deep dark and depressing about mental illness, violence, human condition

Yes, very entropic and existential. Like real life which is not what I listen to music for so, they are not my favorite. I do appreciate their musical skills though.

Lately been listenig to Beattles Blue songs best hits
So great makes you want to get stoned and never wake up

As a rule, fags do not like beaches because they are afraid of the sun. Pederasty was common in Old Europe, it was not a sunny country.
