A rabbi taught me that the correct pronunciation is:

Yea - SHOE' - ah. So that's the way I pronounce it. (No, I am not Jewish and know little Hebrew or Yiddish.)

The w is formed because the w consonance sound is naturally formed going from the long o to a short a.
