Today on sale ground chuck 80/20 $5.99 a lb up about $2.00 per pound from last year and that's if you bought 3 Lbs. Last year avocado's were 5 for $5.00 today 3 for $5.00. I can get our receipt out what we paid for the groceries today and list every GD item. Again don't know where you shop but just about everything in Publix and Walmart's here are up. So what is the reason?

Do you not what the profit margin of a grocery chain is? Three percent, and that is three times what it was back in the old days. But food manufacturers, like Cargill, JBS, General MIlls--25%. They have immense pricing power, in all reality, they are oligopolies. The consolidation within the industry has been insane.
