That depends on how you look at it. Understanding that death is gain, a child dying is like taking them from the city dump to Disney World. Satan gives them cancer, God gives them eternal life. Their last breath here is their first breath in Wonderland. It is certainly hard on those left behind, and think it is unfair. But this is earth. No one promised us a rose garden down here. And for now, Satan goes to and fro, causing as much damage as he can in the short time he has left.

Angels are busy.
The Bible tells us that children have guardian angels:
Matthew 18:10 "See that you do not despise or think less of one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven are in the presence of and continually look upon the face of My Father who is in heaven.
Churches have angels:
Rev. 2:1 To the angel of the church in .....
Beggars have angels:
Luke 16:22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

The reason we are to be kind to strangers is because we may be unaware that they may be angels working in some capacity.
I wonder if the children's angels get new assignments when the child comes of age, or is it a permanent arrangement?

Yes they do. They can influence your actions, save your life as they did in my case. They can come to you in a dream but you will know its real not a dream. They can influence you to help others who need ones special skills. They can form words in your mind.

I believe that everyone who was, is and will be, exist forever in different forms. Also, we are all fundamentally connected. Many times I have had a situation where for no apparent reason, I was spared something horrible. No explanation except it didn't happen. That could be called having a 'guardian angel' or others looking out for our well being.

I was at red light no visibility on my left. Trees and hill blocked my view. The light turned green and voice in my head said DONG GO and repeated DONT GO. I always go. I didnt this time. 2 seconds later a huge truck rant the light speeding and would have killed me.

That's exactly what I meant!!! Getting knowledge or warnings from what we would call 'nowhere.'
