Iranian Army personal was factually withdrawn - in order to protect US embassy staff from getting LYNCHED, if Iranian Army personal had fired upon those Iranian student protestors.

Once the Embassy and compound were stormed, Iranian Army personal accompanied by Revolutionary student-militia - drove off the protestors and restored order.

The biggest problem here is that the Persian empire will collapse sooner or later, but the majority of Persians want to preserve the Persian empire (Iran). The Persian lands are the best part of Iran, but Persians want the Iranian empire intact — and even expanded. I don’t think that’s possible. Persians will ( 99 %) lose at least some of their colonies, such as Kurdistan and Baluchistan.
