Really, a good place to start would be a movement for no dem or lib to use either of those terms, for at least a generation.

Common sense coupled with civility will go far!
The left specializes in hatred, insult and belittlement. It would be smart for conservatives not to fall into that pattern.

I used to think it might be possible to get as many as 70% of the voting populace on one page. After some discussions here with knowledgeable posters of both stripes It seems that that's an unrealistic hope. The very best we can do is maybe a hair over 55%.

After that the nature of our politic almost nearly demands antipathy in order to continue functioning.

It's a bit depressing but unfortunately it seems that the antipathy is actually the entropy of the mechanics of our political system. As you know once you remove entropy everything stops.
