How About More Font Choices?

Really, some of the font choices are not that good, and there are not many choices, either. I think one of two things could happen that would improve the forum:

1) Add more font choices.
2) Remove the current crop and replace them with some new choices.


The only one that is readable for me is Georgia, most of the others cause eye strain when reading them. The default font is fine but like to use others when posting excerpts. Adding more fonts would be optimal, but we've been told "there is no room for more" on similar requests for changes, so there is a workaround if this holds.

One skin style is Admin's limit, fonts will be stretching it.

I've never tried, but try changing the font names and see what happens.

I'm not into the background of the Xenforo software but the fonts are probably in the /js/xenforo/bb_code_edit.js file. I don't know if admin needs to add them, of whether many are already there and you can just use the [ ] option to write/alter your coding.

Go down to the bottom of the USMB forum and click on -

Community platform by XenForo® © 2010-2025 XenForo Ltd.

Then top right corner 3 little horizontal bars, click on that and select community. It's a forum for Xenforo where you can glee some background information.

I've never tried, but try changing the font names and see what happens.

That could be an interesting workaround, if I can pull it off. Definitely worth looking at as an option.
